Winter Favourites

I'm Hello Beautiful People!

Winter is coming! Today I've got my Winter Favourites for you today. I love Winter its my favourite season by far! I love that cosy feeling yo get from  winter and of course the SNOW! But here are my top five favourite things.

1) Cocoa Butter: During winter I tend to find I moisturize a lot more, otherwise I can be prone to dry skin. The moisturizer I use for my body is Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Body Lotion. I love the smell and it does add moisture to my skin.

2) Chunky Scarfs: Chunky scarves are definitely a winter staple in my wardrobe. in my opinion they do serve a dual use, especially when I was commuting to London everyday. Chunky scarves can be quite good as pillows on the train, that is how I used mine last year.

3) Hot Chocolate: Drinking hot chocolate is a big favourite to do in the winter. I mean who doesn't love liquid chocolate?? I love making my own hot chocolate but when I don't have time to make it I love to stop off at Costa and pick one up.

4) Bright Colours: Winter trends tend to be quite dark and dull. You normally see greys and black come into shops a lot. However I think that the winter is a time to wear bright colours! Just because the weather is grey doesn't mean our outfits should be too. While I'm not totally against dark colours in the winter I'll definitely pick a bright pink skirt over a grey one any day!

5) Clothes Show Live: This is one of my favourite events of the year and it just so happens to fall into Winter so it is appearing on my favourites. Clothe Show Live is amazing its a chance to see some new brands that you haven't heard of before and to meet some incredible celebrities. I always go to the make up stands and pick up items from all my favourite brands.

What are your winter favourites??

Lots of love

My Drugstore Make Up Bag..

Hello beautiful people

Today I want to share with you what is inside my drugstore makeup bag. Inside this bag is what I would usually take away to Cornwall or when I go on holiday.

My Make up bag is from Pauls Boutique. Its large so I can fit more in, I normally put my shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in as well. I bought this bag from Superdrug in August but it is now no longer available.

Firstly onto face products, I would usually have my B. Prepared Primer [£9.99] for my base. For concealer I always bring my collection lasting perfection concealer in shade 1 Fair [£4.19] which I couldn't live without, my MUA Hide and Conceal concealer [£1.00] which I normally use to highlight. Onto foundation and I always take L'oreal Paris Infallible Matte Foundation in shade 11 Vanilla [£7.99] it gives amazing coverage.

Moving on to Eyes, for primer I use B. Fixed eye shadow primer [£8.99](which I did review in August you can see it HERE). Moving on to eye shadow palettes I usually take both my Revolution palettes which are called Redemption Palette Iconic 2 [£4.00] and Redemption Palette Essential Day to Night [£4.00]. For eyeliner I usually have my L'oreal Paris Superliner Blackbuster eyeliner [£6.99] which I have used for years and years (not the same one obviously)and I don't actually know how I would cope without it. Finally on to Mascara and the mascara I normally use is the Collection Supersize Mascara in Shade Ultra Black [£2.99].

Next onto the lips, my main must have for my make up bag is Vaseline [£1.99]. For lipstick I take two different colours. The first one is Rimmel London Apocalips in shade...... [£6.49] and the second one is L'oreal Paris Colour Riche in shade Rosewood Beige- Julianne's Nude [£6.99]

So that is whats in my drugstore makeup bag. Whats in yours??

Until Next Time

Whats in my bag?

Hello beautiful people ❤

I'm one of those people who can't leave the house without my bag. Even if it's going down the pub for an hour or to the shops, I have to take my bag!

1) My purse is from primark. I'm not a big fan of the purse but I can't seem to find a purse that I like

3) The notebook is for drafting all my blog posts.

4) I'm still a student so I keep my pencil case in my bag at all time so I don't have to remember to put it in when I have college.

5) I still keep my sunglasses in my because we're at the stage that although it's cold it's still sunny these were a £1 from Primark.

6) My college lanyard is something else I always keep in my bag otherwise i will forget to bring it.

7) Clear cosmetic bag. I keep all my beauty essentials in this bag so that its easy to get too.

8) My house keys

9) I have an iPhone and I'm constantly having to charge it so I bought myself a battery pack for £6 from Primark

Pinterest Obsessed

I am completely obsessed with Pinterest!! So much so I have to ban myself from going on it during the week, otherwise I would never get to sleep.  I have two accounts on Pinterest. I have a
personal one and blog one. To give me an excuse to go on Pinterest I thought that I would share with you a different board with you on the second week of every month and include my three top favourite photos.

So this month I'm going to start out with my photoshoot board. I created this board to inspire me when I open my own brand and store for advertising campaigns. These are my 3 favourite pins from this board.

Battle of the Brands - EYESHADOW PRIMERS

HELLO AGAIN,

Today I want to do a make up review of 3 different eyeshadow primers. Eyeshadow primers are a big part of my make up routine. I tend to put on eyeshadow on everyday and, like I have said in past posts, I find that without a primer my eyeshadow tends to fade really quickly and ends up looking terrible. So finding the right eyeshadow primer is a big must for me. So here is my reviews of the eyeshadow primers I own. I'm going list them in order of my least favourite to my most favourite last.

Eye Shadow Primer 1-
Brand: Catrice Cosmetics
Product: Prime and Fine Eyeshadow Base
Size: 5ml
Price: £4.90

I wasn't impressed with this primer. I found that the eyeshadow faded very quickly and wasn't as long lasting as the other two. Also applying this primer was harder as it had a wand to apply instead of applying by fingers.

Eye Shadow Primer 2-
Brand: B.
Product: Long-wear Eyeshadow Primer
Size: 15ml
Price: £8.99

I think it works very well and the only way it could improve is if the eyeshadow had stayed on in the crease of my eye. But regardless it is really good and it will definitely become part of my daily make up routine.

Eye Shadow Primer 3-
Brand: Kiko
Product: Eye Base Primer
Size: 10ml
Price: £6.90

This is by far my favourite primer. When you put eyeshadow on top it doesn't move. I even had a nap with this primer on and eye shadow on and when I woke up it hadn't moved. I couldn't recommend this primer highly enough!

Caring for your brushes

Make up brushes are vital to everyones make up routine. But after a while they get clogged up with excess makeup, which means its heaven for bacteria. Realistically we should be giving our brushes a clean every week. Now i'm the first to admit that i don't always remember to do it every week. It wasn't until about six months ago i even started to clean my make up brushes. I didn't even know I should be doing it let alone every week. But it is really easy to do and today i want to share with you how i do it in 3 easy steps.

Step One- The first thing i do is put a blob of Johnsons soft wash into a jug and i fill it up with hot water. (Note- you can use any type of shower gel, shampoo or conditioner you want. I like using Johnsons because of the strong smell.)

Step Two- I then swirl my brushes one by on around in the soapy hot water taking them out now and again to scrub with a flannel. I tend to leave my foundation brush until last as this takes the most work and makes the most mess.

Step Three- Finally i spray my brushes with make up brush disinfectant from primark and place them down on kitchen towel to soak up any excess water. (There are other brush sanitisers that are available. One sanitiser I would suggest using is the 'Make up Revolution Antibacterial Brush Cleaner' which is £5 from Superdrug)

And thats how i clean my make up brushes.

Barry M Sunset Nails

Hellooo

Got a nail blog post for you today. this is what i think is the ultimate nail varnish of summer 2015. It is the Barry M Sunset Nails. I saw this advertised in look magazine and i decided that i had to buy it. This is a relatively new collection so they only have a limited range of colours. Sunset nails consist of 2 nail varnish (each bought separately for £4.99 each) one nail varnish is the colour and the second nail varnish is the top coat, which when dried is supposed to give off the same effect as gel nail varnish. The colour i picked was a very bright and summery colour. Which looked really nice on my toes and my hands. Perfect for my holiday in france.

I bought shade 520 Peach for the stars and the top coat for my holiday.

During application the colour coat dried very quickly so i didn't have time to smudge (For Once!) Once i added the top coat it dried equally as quickly. When i went to touch part of my nail with a cocktail stick, after 10 minutes of applying the top coat, and the cocktail stick didn't leave a dent in.

Rating Out of 10:
Overall i would rate this nail varnish 7 out of 10. I did find that during the holiday my nails did chip and after a while the varnish could be pulled off. However i am putting this down to the amount of time i spent in the pool and in the sea (which was a lot). Nevertheless the colours in this collection are absolutely stunning and i will definitely be going out to buy some more. I would absolutely recommend it to my friends and my family as well as to you.

TREND - Military

A big trend for Autumn/Winter this year is once again military. Black, Navy and Olive play a big part throughout this trend. Monochrome Aztec prints add a modern twist on a classic trend.

B. Eyeshadow Primer

hello beautiful people

today i have a make up first impressions for you.

Recently i have stated wearing a lot more eyeshadow as a result i have been finding that when i finish work at 5:30pm my eyeshadow has either completely gone or it has faded. To try and solve the problem i have decided to try out the B. Eyeshadow Primer. I have only tried one B. product before.

I applied the primer at 8:30am in the morning before work. I found that the primer isn't too heavy and very easy to apply

At about 1:00pm (4 and half hours after aplication) i had time to check in the mirror and have look at how the eyeshadow was getting on and i was very surprised to see that my eyeshadow barely faded.

On the day that i trialled out this primer i went on holiday so i didn't have time to check out my eyeshadow until i went to bed at 10:15pm. i found that the eyeshadow had faded in the crease of my eye but on the rest of the lid it was still going strong.

Rating out of 10:
Overall i would rate this primer 8 out of 10. I think it works very well and the only way it could improve is if the eyeshadow had stayed on in the crease of my eye. But regardless it is really good and it will definitely become part of my daily make up routine.

Because i liked this primer so much i went out and bought the B. Makeup Primer. Im going to trial that out and maybe share my first impressions with you again

Laura Mercier Primer

I received this primer as a sample in my April Birchbox a couple of weeks ago and I have been using it ever since.

I think that this primer works so well and compared to my sleek primer it is so much better! The sample I received was a really good size. I actually think it was slightly bigger than my sleek primer which is full sized.

It's a gel and I do find that it dries quickly. It also smells similar to Jaffa cakes.

To buy a full sized tube (50ML) is £29.00 Buy it here now

Woman Crush Wednesday

My woman crush Wednesday, this week, is Tamara Mellon. I read her memoir 'In my Shoes' it was such a good read and she's really inspirational. For those that don't know she was the accessories editor for British Vogue and is the co-founder of Jimmy Choo. Jimmy Choo is my favourite designer brand in the whole entire world and I almost died of happiness when I went into their store at Westfield at the start of the year.  If you get the chance I fully recommend reading her book!

Until later..

Outfit Inspiration

We all have those outfits that we love but do not own, the ones that inspire our everyday or style. Today I want to share 5 outfits that inspire my wardrobe.

1)
I love this outfit mainly because its polka dots and i am a MASSIVE fan of polkadots. I also love the elegant nature of the dress and i think that the muted pink heels completes the entire outfit.
